Nusantara International Conference on Contemporary Social Research (NICCSR 2026)

The Nusantara Center for Social Research (NCSR) is pleased to introduce the Nusantara International Conference on Contemporary Social Research (NICCSR), an international academic forum dedicated to fostering critical and interdisciplinary conversations on the evolving challenges of democracy, governance, and social transformation across the Asia-Pacific region. This year’s conference theme: Democracy in Crisis: Reimagining Democratic Futures in an Era of Fragmentation and Transformation As societies across the Asia-Pacific continue to navigate democratic uncertainty, political polarization, authoritarian resurgence, digital disruption, and widening social inequalities, NICCSR seeks to provide a meaningful platform for scholars, researchers, students, practitioners, and public intellectuals to critically engage with these pressing transformations from diverse perspectives and disciplines. Selected papers will be considered for publication opportunities in international academic journals and collaborative scholarly publications.
